Homemade Italian seasoning mix is so easy to make and will bring delicious flavors to so many recipes. When you make your own seasoning mixes you know exactly what is in the mixture.
WAYS TO USE ITALIAN SEASONING
I use Italian seasoning in a lot of different recipes. It is a very versatile seasoning and does not only work in traditional “Italian” themed dishes.
Here are some easy ideas for using Italian seasonings:
- Pasta Sauces
- Marinades for Chicken, Beef, or Pork

- Pasta Casseroles
- Salad Dressings
WHY MAKE HOMEMADE ITALIAN SEASONING?
I know that buying seasoning mixes at the store is quick and easy. A lot of the mixes are also inexpensive.
The disadvantage to store-bought seasoning mixes is there may be extra, unnecessary ingredients inside. It is nice to know exactly what you are seasoning your food with.
If you have anyone with a gluten allergy or sensitivity it is much safer to make your own seasoning mixes. This will ensure that they are gluten-free.
I like to watch my salt and sugar intake and many seasonings contain unneeded salt and sugar. This homemade Italian seasoning mix is gluten-free, salt-free and sugar-free.
