WHY MAKE HOMEMADE ITALIAN SEASONING?
I know that buying seasoning mixes at the store is quick and easy. A lot of the mixes are also inexpensive.
The disadvantage to store-bought seasoning mixes is there may be extra, unnecessary ingredients inside. It is nice to know exactly what you are seasoning your food with.
If you have anyone with a gluten allergy or sensitivity it is much safer to make your own seasoning mixes. This will ensure that they are gluten-free.
I like to watch my salt and sugar intake and many seasonings contain unneeded salt and sugar. This homemade Italian seasoning mix is gluten-free, salt-free and sugar-free.
