PUDDING FRUIT SALAD FOR SPRING

I am always anxious for spring to arrive and I start planning out fruit filled recipes. Instead of cakes or brownies I like to bring a colorful pudding fruit salad to spring parties.

This recipe is particularly pretty and I almost hate to eat it because it looks so nice in a glass bowl!

When the table is decorated with beautiful flowers it is nice to see a lovely dessert sitting there too.

FAST AND EASY DESSERT SALAD

One of my favorite things about this recipe is that it literally takes only minutes to make.  It is a no-bake recipe so no need to turn on the oven.

Many of our spring events have me running. I am always swamped on Easter, Mother’s Day and for graduations. I have so many things to juggle I just don’t have time to make a fancy gourmet dessert for the day.

This pudding fruit salad is thrown together so quickly and then it waits for me in the refrigerator until the party starts.

WHAT IS IN PUDDING FRUIT SALAD?

Pudding Fruit Salad only has 6 ingredients. This is also a very forgiving salad and you can change the fruit that you want to use based on what you have on hand or what you prefer.

The ingredients for this pudding fruit salad are:

  • instant pudding
  • milk
  • whipped topping
  • 3 kinds of fruit

HOW TO MAKE PUDDING FRUIT SALAD

I already mentioned how simple this recipe is to make. You are going to be hooked on this pudding fruit salad just like we are at my house!

STEP ONE: MAKE PUDDING

First mix the milk and instant pudding together until smooth. I like to use a stand or hand mixer for this step. The mixer helps get the pudding really thick and smooth.

STEP TWO:  ADD WHIPPED TOPPING

Now stir the whipping topping into the pudding. I love how fluffy and delicious the whipped topping makes this salad!

STEP THREE:  ADD FRUIT

It is time to add the fruit to your pudding. Be sure to drain any canned fruit you use and pat it dry with paper towels. You don’t want any excess liquid making the pudding runny.

Stir in the fruit.

STEP FOUR: REFRIGERATE

Place the bowl of pudding fruit salad into the refrigerator for 2-4 hours before serving. When you are ready to serve you can add some more fruit to the top for a finished look if you prefer.

MAKE A SUGAR FREE PUDDING FRUIT SALAD

If you want to cut the sugar out of this recipe it is easy to do. Just buy sugar-free pudding mix and sugar-free whipped topping!

There will be the natural sugars from the fruit, but it will reduce the sugar content a lot!
