You only need a few simple ingredients to make this festive recipe. All of these ingredients are easy to pick up at your local grocery store as you prepare for the holiday.

Candy Melts – You will need a a few bright or pastel colors. 

Coconut Oil – This is to help thin the candy melts if needed. 

Substitutions

Chocolate: Instead of candy melts, you can use white chocolate and color it with food coloring, if preferred. 

Shortening: If you don’t have coconut oil, you can use shortening instead.

How to Make Easter Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Making this Easter recipe is so simple, just follow the instructions below and you will have a tasty snack or dessert in no time at all. 

Step 1: Clean the strawberries

Wash and dry the strawberries. Then remove the stem and set aside. 

Step 2: Prepare a baking sheet

Line a baking pan with parchment paper or wax paper and set it aside. 

Step 3: Get the candy melts ready

Add the candy melts to microwave safe bowls.

Step 4: Melt the melting wafers

Melt the candy melts one color at a time in the microwave for 25 seconds.  After the 25 seconds stir, and repeat if needed until the candy melts are smooth. 

Step 5: Add a toothpick

Insert a toothpick into the top of the strawberry.

Step 6: Dip the strawberries

Use the toothpick to roll the strawberry into the melted candy wafers until completely coated. Place the coated strawberry on a prepared baking sheet.

Step 7: Repeat until strawberries are done

Repeat until all the strawberries are coated.

Step 8: Allow the melts to harden

Allow the candy melts to harden before serving or storing.
