These Mounds Hot Cocoa Bombs will have you loving life. If you’re looking for a way to spruce up that regular cup of hot chocolate, these hot cocoa bombs are for you!
Anytime you can get that candy bar flavor without actually having to eat a candy bar, it’s a challenge worth taking. These cocoa bombs really do taste just like a Mounds candy car and are so much fun to make!
Can you freeze cocoa bombs for later?
Sure. If you want to store them in an airtight back or container for later, just do so. When you’re ready to use it, just take it out and add it to your favorite mug.
What You’ll Need To Make These Mounds Hot Cocoa Bombs
Here are all of the ingredients and materials you’ll need to create these perfectly flavored Mounds Hot Cocoa Bombs.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of Chocolate Candy Melts
- 2 cups of Hot Chocolate Mix
- 2 cups of Mini Marshmallows
- ½ cup Shredded Coconut
Equipment
- Bath bomb mold or candy mold
How to Make Mounds Hot Cocoa Bombs
Once you have everything listed above, you’re ready to get started! Here’s what you’ll need to do:
Step One
Sart by putting the chocolate candy melts into a bowl and melt in the microwave per the package directions.
Step Two
Once the chocolate is melted, you’re going to take and put 1 tablespoon of the chocolate into the molds. Make certain to spread it around and up the sides.
Step three
Put all of them in the freezer for 5 minutes.
Step four
Once the time has passed, take and remove them out of the freezer and give the sides a gentle tap. This soft tap will help to loosen the chocolate and make it slide out easier.
Step five
Fill half the molds with 2 tablespoons of hot chocolate mix, 1 tablespoon of shredded coconut, and 8 mini marshmallows.
Step six
Put a microwave-safe plate in the microwave and heat the plate until its’s warm to the touch. Grab the empty half of the mold and place it face down on the warm plate to melt the edge. Once melted, take and put it on the other filled half of the mold to secure them together.
You can also use the leftover melted chocolate on the edges to connect.
Step seven
Drizzle any leftover melted chocolate over the top and add on a dusting of hot chocolate mix and some shredded coconut then put them back in the freezer for about 5 minutes.
