How to make Christmas Taffy Hot Cocoa Bombs
Once you have all the ingredients listed above, you’re ready to start! Here is what you’ll need to do.
Step one
Put the red candy melts into a microwave-safe bowl. Once added, make certain that you melt them according to the directions on the package.
Step two
Put 2 tablespoons of the candy that you just melted into one half of the mold. Take the back of your spoon and smooth it around and up the sides. Do this for all 12 halves.
Step three
Once all the chocolate is added, put them in the Pop the freezer for 5 minutes.
Step four
After five minutes have passed, take them out and gently give the sides a tap. This helps to loosen the chocolate and then you can use your hand to push up on one of the sides then remove the mold.
Step five
Take half of the chocolate molds (6) and put in 2 tablespoons of the hot chocolate mix, a Christmas tree nugget tree, and some mini marshmallows.
Step six
Put a plate in the microwave for a few second to make it warm to the touch.
Step seven
Take one of the empty halves of the molds and put it open-faced down on the plate. Hold it there for 10 seconds to melt the edge slightly.
Step eight
Once it has slightly melted, take and press it down on the other half of the filled mold. This should stick them together and seal once cooled.
Step nine
Melt your green and white candy melts in the microwave and put them into a piping bag or use a fork to drizzle on the top. Don’t forget to add on sprinkles.
Step ten
Once done, pop them back in the freezer for about 5 minutes to firm up.
