WHAT IS BAKED OATMEAL?

There are so many wonderful ways to use oats besides an old-fashioned bowl of oatmeal. One of my favorite ways to eat oatmeal is by making a baked oatmeal dish.

Baked oatmeal is very simple to make and it reheats so nicely! One of the best parts of baked oatmeal is that you can eat on it for several days and it is just as good as the first day.

Baked oatmeal is a common Amish recipe and this recipe is very similar to ones you would find made in Amish communities. Amish recipes typically use real butter, sugar and fresh fruit and this one definitely does!
