For Father’s Day this year, I wanted to do something for my husband that would make him smile. Since he shares my corny affection for puns, I settled on this “Nuts About You” gift.
Easy To Make DIY Father’s Day Gift
As my loyal readers know, crafting is not one of my strengths so I assure you, this was an easy project! And because my husband also knows I am not a crafter, I know he will truly appreciate the fact that I even attempted a DIY Father’s Day gift.
Gather The Supplies And Then Start Crafting
First, I gathered my supplies: Nuts About You Printable, black scrapbook paper, Gorilla glue, glue stick, scissors, pencil, a clean mason jar, and an assortment of nuts and bolts.
Next, I cut out the printables.
I traced the larger circle onto the black paper and used a glass to trace a smaller circle.
Then, using the glue stick, I glued the large black circle to the back of the large printed circle and the small black circle to the back of the small printed circle. You shouldn’t be able to see any of the black paper around the edge of the large printed circle. If you do, just trim it off. The black paper is just there as a backing.
However, around the small printed circle, you should have a nice black border. Using a hole punch, punch a hole in the top border. This is the gift tag.
Set the gift tag aside. Carefully apply gorilla glue to each nut and bolt and attach them to the large printed circle. Next, apply gorilla glue to the mason jar lid and adhere the large circle to it.
Fill The Jar With Whatever Nuts Your Husband/Dad Likes
Once the glue has dried, fill the mason jar with nuts. My hubby likes pistachios so I filled his with those. Place the lid on top of the jar and screw on the metal band on to secure it. Attach the gift tag using ribbon or string.
Tada!

What a cute gift! My husband loves nuts, and he would probably keep the jar and put actual nuts and bolts in it once he ate the peanuts ๐
What an adorable gift idea. After Dad has eaten all the nuts, Dad could use the jar to organize screws and nuts on his workbench.
This is really lovely gift. The lid looks so beautiful
This is the cutest thing I have ever seen! I know your husband will love this! This would be the perfect gift for so many occasions.
