Asian Tacos are a delicious marriage of two of my family’s favorite cuisines – Mexican and Asian. They combine the decision flavors of the East, in the classic portable taco shell borrowed from our neighbors to the south.
My friend Ashley, who blogs at I Don’t Have Time for That, actually came up with this idea when she made my Asian Pot Roast recipe. It was her creative cooking mind that realized the shredded beef could double as taco filling.
How to Make Asian Tacos
The BEST thing about these Asian Tacos (besides the amazing flavor) is that they are even easier to make than regular tacos! They would also go great with Air Fryer Crab Rangoon.
Thanks to prepared cole slaw vegetables, you won’t spend a bunch of time dicing vegetables. Instead, you’ll spend a few minutes mixing up a tasty dressing for the slaw.
Step 1 – Prepare the Meat
Make the Asian Pot Roast in your slow cooker. When it’s fully cooked, shred the beef and return to slow cooker to keep warm.
Step 2 – Prepare the Slaw
Next, you’ll combine all of the ingredients for the Asian slaw. In a large bowl, combine tri-color cole slaw mix, grated fresh ginger, black sesame seeds, orange juice, soy sauce and honey.
Toss to coat the slaw evenly. Refrigerate for 5 to 10 minutes to let the flavors combine.
Step 3 – Assemble the Tacos
Now you just have to layer the meat and slaw in tortillas and you’re ready to eat!
