Pork Nachos
Pork is a great protein option to add to your nachos because it’s full of nutrients. Not only is pork tender and versatile but also contains nutrients such as vitamin B, iron, and zinc and it’s low in calories.
Not only does the air fryer cook quickly, but the hot air also helps to keep the chips crispy. I have to admit that thanks to the air fryer this is one of the most delicious recipes for loaded nachos that I’ve ever tried.

Ingredients

This recipe only requires a few simple ingredients that are easy to find at your local grocery store. You may even have some of these ingredients on hand already, which can save you a trip to the store.
- shredded pulled pork – I like to use leftover pulled pork, however, you can also purchase already-made pulled pork from your favorite bbq restaurant, or at your local grocery store.
- taco seasoning – Use your favorite homemade seasoning mix or a packet of your favorite brand.
- nacho cheese sauce – My family thinks that Rico’s is the best brand of nacho cheese sauce on the market.
- shredded cheese – I like to use the fiesta blend or Mexican blend shredded cheese because I think it melts the best.
Substitutions
Pork: Instead of pulled pork, you can use bbq chicken or pulled chicken to make air fryer chicken nachos.
Cheese: Switch out the fiesta cheese, you can use shredded cheddar cheese or your favorite type of cheese.
Variations / Options / Add-Ins
Corn: Whole-kernel corn would be a great addition to this hearty meal.
Nacho Cheese: Instead of using canned nacho cheese, you can use queso instead.
Refried Beans: I like black beans on my nachos but you can use refried beans also.
Equipment Needed / Helpful Tools
You only need a few common kitchen tools to help you make this delicious.
- air fryer – I like to use an 8-quart air fryer to make these nachos.
- pie pan – Make sure that you can fit the oven-safe baking dish in your air fryer.

Pro Tips
Here are a few tips to make sure that your pulled pork nachos turn out
- If you or someone in your life is sensitive to spice, you can leave out the hot sauce and jalapenos to make a mild version of these nachos.
- If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake these nachos in the oven for about 10 minutes at 375°F.
- You can easily switch up the toppings and make them your own.
- I like to use white corn tortilla chips to make nachos, but you can also use flour chips instead.
- You can also use leftover taco meat or ground turkey to make this easy snack.
- I strongly recommend that you do not make these nachos in the bottom of the air fryer basket, as it can make a mess. Use a pan that will fit in your air fryer.
- However, if you have a small air fryer you can line the air fryer basket with aluminum foil and make your loaded nachos on the foil instead. This will protect your air fryer from the grease getting everywhere.
