Cake Mix Snickerdoodles

My favorite thing about snickerdoodles is that they are rolled in cinnamon sugar. Not only does cinnamon taste great, but it’s also great for your health as it contains anti-inflammatory properties.

So, if you are looking for an excuse to eat more cookies, then you can make these snickerdoodles and celebrate fighting inflammation.

Ingredients

Snickerdoodle Cake Mix Cookies ingredients.

Making these cake mix snickerdoodles is so easy and only requires a few simple ingredients. You may already have most of these ingredients in your cabinets and fridge which can save you a trip to the grocery store.

vanilla cake mix – I like to use Betty Crocker cake mix. Vanilla or butter really works best for this recipe.

Butter – I use salted butter that has been melted for this recipe.

Sugar – Granulated or cane sugar is the best for rolling these cookies.

Substitutions

Cake Mix: If you don’t have a vanilla cake mix on hand, you can use a white cake mix instead.

Butter: I prefer to use salted butter, but you can use unsalted butter or shortening if you are in a pinch.

Variations / Options / Add-Ins

Here are a few different ways that you can personalize this easy cookie recipe.

Nutmeg: If you love nutmeg, try adding a teaspoon of ground nutmeg to the cookie dough.

Chocolate Chips: Add a handful of chocolate chips to the cookie dough for some extra sweetness and crunch.

Cinnamon Sugar: For an extra-cinnamon flavor, you can mix in some cinnamon sugar or Cinnadust into your cookie batter before you shape them.

Equipment Needed / Helpful Tools
