You only need a few simple ingredients that are all easy to find at your local grocery store. After one quick trip you’ll have everything you need to make this delicious easy recipe.

Squash – You will need some yellow squash; look for squash that is bright in color and free from blemishes.

Olive Oil – Olive oil is great for adding flavor and helping to crisp up the squash while it’s air frying.

Seasonings – For this recipe you will need paprika, garlic powder, salt and black pepper. 

Substitutions

Oil: Instead of olive oil  you could also use avocado oil or a light flavored vegetable oil.

Squash: Instead of yellow squash you could also use zucchini if you prefer. Air fryer zucchini is also delicious.

How to Make Air Fryer Yellow Squash

If you are going to make this simple side dish, then follow the instructions below and you will be ready to dive into it in no time at all. 

Step 1: Preheat the air fryer

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.

Step 2: Wash and slice the squash

Slice the crookneck squash to 1/4” thick.

Step 3: Season the squash

Add squash to a mixing bowl. Toss in oil and spices. Fully coat the squash.

Step 4: Place in a single layer in the air fryer basket

Place each slice of squash in the air fryer basket, do not place them on top of one another.

Step 5: Air fry yellow squash

Cook each batch at 400°F for 15 minutes.
