Variations / Options / Add-Ins
This recipe is delicious as is, but there are a few variations that you could try.
Peanut butter: Add 1 cup of peanut butter to the batter for a peanut butter smores cookie.
Caramel: Top with caramel and chocolate chips for a twist on a classic smores cookie taste.
Cookie: Instead of graham crackers, use your favorite cookie. Oreos, Nutter Butters, and animal crackers are all great options.
Tips
Want to make sure that your smores cookies turn out perfectly? Here are a few tips to help you.
- When measuring the flour, be sure not to pack it into the measuring cup. This will result in too much flour and make your cookies dense.
- To get perfect, round cookies, use a cookie scoop. This will also help to ensure that all of your cookies are the same size so they cook evenly.
- Be careful to not overmix the batter. This will result in tough cookies.
- If you want to make sure that your cookies are cooked through, insert a toothpick into the center of a cookie. If it comes out clean, the cookie is done.
