If you’ve always wanted a simple way to have a little bit of mint added to your cup of hot cocoa, I can’t think of a better addition or option than this. It’s the perfect solution and so much fun to make!

How long does it take for hot cocoa bombs to firm up?

This recipe will take a little bit more time because you’re going to have to let the chocolate set up. It says to give it a few hours but you might be able to speed it up if you pop them into the freezer.

What You’ll Need To Make These Mint Hot Cocoa Bombs

Here are all of the ingredients and materials you’ll need to create these perfectly flavored Mint Hot Cocoa Bombs.

Ingredients

  • 1 package dark chocolate chips (12 ounces)
  • 1 packet of instant cocoa mix
  • 1 cup of mini marshmallows
  • 1/3 cup of mint baking chips
  • 6 cups of hot milk

How to Make Mint Hot Cocoa Bombs

Once you have everything listed above, you’re ready to get started! Here’s what you’ll need to do:

Step One

Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals. Stop and stir between each one.

Step Two

Add a spoonful of chocolate to the mold and spread it around. Make certain to go up the sides and cover the entire area.

Step three

If you don’t want to put it in the fridge, it will take about 2 hours at room temperature to harden. If you want to put it in the fridge or freezer, do so and check on it after 30 minutes or so.

Step four

Once the chocolate has firmed up, take out of the molds and add in a small amount of the hot cocoa mix, and top with the marshmallows and mint baking chips.

Step five

Remelt the leftover chocolate and dip the empty mold into it and then place that on top of the filled half of the mold. This will seal them together once it dries.

Step six

Melt the white chocolate chips and then drizzle over the top of the cocoa bombs. Add leftover mint pieces on top.

Let it sit for 1 hour to firm up, then enjoy!
