These Twix Hot Cocoa Bombs taste EXACTLY like a Twix Candy Bar! Who says that you shouldn’t combine the flavors of candy and cocoa? This is one cup of hot cocoa that you’re never going to want to end – and when you make your own cocoa bombs at home, you can constantly fill up your cup over and over again.

I’m pretty obsessed with candy and all things chocolate. So when I realized that I could have a combination of two of my favorite things, I knew that it had to happen. And let me tell you – the flavors of caramel and chocolate are a match made in dessert heaven!

They are! This is actually a really great activity to get the kids cooking and working in the kitchen. They’ll love to see the outcome and taste the rewards of their hard work and effort.

What You’ll Need To Make These Twix Hot Cocoa Bombs

Here are all of the ingredients and materials you’ll need to create these perfect Twix Hot Cocoa Bombs.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of Chocolate Candy Melts
  • 2 cups of Hot Chocolate Mix
  • 2 cups of Mini Marshmallows
  • 4 Twix Candies (individual sticks)

How to Make Twix Hot Cocoa Bombs

Once you have everything listed above, you’re ready to get started! Here’s what you’ll need to do:

Step One

You’re going to want to begin by chopping up the Twix into small bite-sized pieces.

Step Two

Then add the chocolate candy melts into a microwave-safe bowl and melt per the package directions.

Step three

Once melted, take and put 1 tablespoon of the chocolate into the molds. Make certain to spread it around and up the sides. Do this for all 12 of the molds.

Step four

After all the molds are filled, take and put all of them in the freezer for 5 minutes.

Step five

After 5 minutes of time, go ahead and remove them out of the freezer and give the sides a gentle tap. This should loosen them to remove them from the molds.

Step six

Fill half the molds with 1 tablespoon of hot chocolate mix, 1 tablespoon of the chopped candy bar, and 8 mini marshmallows.

Step seven

Put a microwave-safe plate in the microwave and heat the plate. You want to heat it until it’s warm to the touch. Once done, take and grab an empty mold and put it on the plate to melt the open-faced edge. You can then place it on top of the other half of the filled mold to seal.

You can also use melted chocolate on the edges to connect.

Step eight

Drizzle melted chocolate over the top of the cocoa bombs and then add on a piece of Twix on the top. Pop in the freezer for 5 minutes to firm up.
