Hi Corinne!
I know this is kind of an odd question, but do you still have the jar that you used to make this project with?
My daughter (now 16) was given this exact jar back in 2016 from an organization called “Jars for Stars.” They make fun little jars filled with goodies for chronically ill children (my daughter has type 1 diabetes). My daughter loved her jar (and actually later had it on her desk storing little handmade origami “wishing stars” that she made). She recently lost her jar during our move and is devastated. I’ve searched around online but cannot find this jar for the life of me. I only found one image of it on Google and it was from your page. I see that you mentioned purchasing it at Dollar General, but we don’t have any of those stores here (we’re now in Canada).
If you have this jar, is there any chance that you would consider letting it go? I am more than willing to cover any and all of the costs it get it to us. I know this is such a long shot, but I figure I should reach out just in case!
Lisa
Hi Lisa, you don’t know how much I wish I still had that jar so I could send it to you! Unfortunately, I don’t still have it. I will look at my local dollar stores though on the off chance one of them is carrying it again. If I find it, I promise I’ll email you and let you know so we can arrange getting it to you.
I have neighbors in my apartment building, dog walkers, c and this will be great! There was a tea, recipe, using tang and instant tea. It was really good. Was thinking of doing both as not sure what some people prefer!
I’m glad you like this gift idea. Your idea about the tea sounds like a good idea also. Thanks for commenting.
Great gift idea! I pinned this! Thanks for sharing at the To Grandma’s House We Go DIY, Crafts, Recipes and More link party. Hope to see you again next week.
I would love to receive this gift! Cheers. I am going to pin this great idea. Happy Fall, Kippi
I did gifts in a jar for Xmas gifts last year. Everyone loved them so much Iโm doing it again. Love the Starbucks and Baileys. I know lots of family members whoโd love that.
Nice gift idea. I was thinking a nice teacher gift but I’m not sure if the kids can take bailey’s to school. I better not get them expelled from school. Maybe its a better gift for the mailman….or music teacher
LOL, yes, probably not appropriate for a child to deliver to a teacher unless you wanted to swap in flavored creamer in lieu of Bailey’s.
This gives me so many ideas for x mas. Not just for coffee drinkings. I can see all sorts of things in jars, bottles, bags, like coffee with sugar, creamer, different flavors of it all!
Where do you get the lids from for these?
The lids came with the jars, which I found at my local Dollar General. I’ve seen similar jars at Michael’s.
Great idea! It’s packaged so beautifully. Love the mason jar paper topper. Visiting from Merry Monday.
That’s so cute. It would be such a great gift for those people you don’t know what to get stuff for.
