Ingredients

Air Fryer Tacos Ingredients

This recipe calls for a few simple ingredients. That’s it! All of these ingredients are easy to find at your local grocery store. Some of these ingredients you may already have on hand which can save you a trip to the store.

Beef stew meat – Stew meat is a great option for this recipe because it’s already cut into small, bite-sized pieces.

Carne asada seasoning –  I like to use a store-bought carne asada seasoning blend because it’s already perfectly seasoned, but you can also make your own.

Corn tortillas –  I prefer to use corn tortillas for this recipe because they’re more authentic.

Substitutions

Beef: If you can’t find stew meat at your local grocery store, you can use cut-up chuck roast or sirloin instead.

Tortillas: I prefer the flavor of corn tortillas, but you can also flour tortillas instead.

Variations / Options / Add-Ins

There are so many ways you can change up this recipe to make it your own.

Chicken: Instead of beef you can also use cut-up chicken breast for this recipe.

Pork: Another great option is to use a cut-up pork loin or pork tenderloin.

Tofu: Tofu is a great meat substitute for this recipe. Just be sure to press it before cooking

Guacamole: This is the perfect topping for these tacos! For an easy homemade version, try this 4-ingredient guacamole recipe.

Equipment Needed / Helpful Tools

You only need a couple of kitchen tools to help you make this delicious taco recipe.

  • air fryer – I used an 8-quart air fryer for this recipe. You will need at least a 6-quart air fryer to make this recipe.
  • baking dish – you will need a pan that will fit inside your air fryer, a cake pan, pie plate or loaf pan should work depending on the size of your air fryer.

Pro Tips

Here are a few tips to make sure that your tacos turn out perfectly every time that you make them.

  • Make sure that you use an oven-safe container in your air fryer.
  • Try to cut the meat into evenly-sized pieces so that it cooks at the same time.
  • You can top these tacos with your favorite taco toppings such as cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole, hot sauce, fresh cilantro, or a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
  • If you want to add more flavor to this dish you can add seasonings such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, or chili powder to the beef mixture.
  • For easy clean up make sure that you spray your baking dish well with nonstick cooking spray.
  • I like to use cheddar cheese but you can also use Mexican style cheese if you prefer.
