There are so many reasons why skin might be itchy.

We are a very outdoorsy family and I am always shocked by the different rashes, bumps and red spots we will end up getting. It is rare that I know what is causing the issue, but getting some relief is important to me.

Some things that can cause skin to itch are:

  • allergic reactions
  • insect bites
  • reaction to a plant
  • dry skin
  • medical conditions
  • medication reactions

I cannot tell you how this homemade itch relief cream will work for you. It is a cream that helps my family when we have bug bites or other itchy issues.

The essential oils in this recipe are known to aid in soothing the skin!

Lavender oil has been known to help with the stinging and itching of bug bites. It also has anti-fungal properties that are great for athlete’s foot and ringworm.

Rose oil doesn’t only smell good it also has anti-inflammatory benefits. This can help itching caused by dry skin and eczema.

Patchouli essential oil is great for moisturizing the skin and can help prevent infections.

I love that Frankincense oil is used to prevent itching even more than stop it. It is a good benefit to this itch relief cream.
