This Easy Peach Ice Cream is the perfect dessert for summer-it’s cold and refreshing, creamy and delicious, and super easy to make.

For those of you who love peach desserts, this ice cream is perfect because it’s full of peach flavor.-it’s peaches and cream in ice cream form.
One of my favorite things about this easy peach ice cream recipe is that it doubles as an activity for the kids too. The recipe is shown below with in-process steps to make it even easier for your kids to follow-just pull up the recipe on a phone or tablet and prop it up on the counter!

🥘 Ingredients

To make this delicious dessert you will need a few simple ingredients. All of these ingredients are easy to find at your local grocery store and you might already have some of them in your home.
- Sweetened condensed milk: Sweetened condensed milk is already sweetened, so it eliminates the need for additional sugar. Because it’s thick and syrupy, it helps create a smooth, easy to scoop texture without needing an ice cream machine and it prevents large ice crystals from forming as it freezes.
- Heavy cream: It’s important that the cream is cold (straight from the fridge) because it whips up more easily and forms stiff peaks faster. Properly whipped cold cream creates a stable, airy structure which allows you to fold in the other ingredients gently without deflating it, giving the ice cream its light, creamy texture.
- Vanilla (optional): If you love a hint of vanilla in all your ice cream, you can add it. However, if you want the pure taste of peaches and cream, you can leave it out.
- Peach pie filling: Canned filling is used instead of fresh peaches because fresh peaches contain a lot of water, which can form ice crystals and make the ice cream icy if not cooked down first. Pie filling has already been thickened and sweetened to prevent this.

🔀 Substitutions
If you don't have the ingredients you need or if you have different dietary preferences, see if you have these instead:
Sweetened condensed milk: You can make your own by simmering 2 cups whole milk and ⅔ cup sugar together until thickened (about 30 – 40 minutes). You can also find dairy-free sweetened condensed milk (usually available in coconut versions) for a dairy-free ice cream.
Heavy cream: Whipping cream will work just as well, even though it has slightly less fat, it will still whip up nicely. You can also use coconut cream for a non-dairy version (use only the thick part from a can of chilled coconut milk).
Vanilla (optional): Since this is optional, you can just leave it out. If you want an extra flavor, you could use peach extract to boost the peach flavor.
Peach pie filling: One of my readers said they used canned peaches, drained and cut into small pieces instead.

- Hand mixer or stand mixer: You need this to whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks. A whisk can work if you’re up for a workout, but it's much easier with a mixer.
- Mixing bowls: You’ll need 2 or 3 bowls-if you’re using a stand mixer it already comes with a bowl, but if you’re using a hand mixer, you’ll need a large bowl for whipping the cream. Another medium bowl will be needed to mix the sweetened condensed milk and fold everything together, and you could use a third to hold the peach pie filling.
- Freezer-safe container: A loaf pan works great for freezing your ice cream mixture.

🔪 How to Make Easy Peach Ice Cream
You won’t believe how easy this homemade ice cream is to make. Just follow the instructions below and you will have a tasty treat in no time at all.
Step 1: Beat the Cream
With a mixer on medium speed, beat heavy whipping cream until thick, fluffy and it hold its shape-when you lift the beaters, the peaks should stand straight up without falling over. This will take about 5-7 minutes.
This is the step my kids enjoy the most. It’s fascinating to watch liquid heavy cream transform into whipped cream.
Step 2: Combine Cream and Sweetened Condensed Milk
Fold a cup of the cream into a bowl with the sweetened condensed milk (if you want to add a teaspoon of vanilla, you would add it here) and mix until smooth.

Step 3: Combine Mixture With Cream
Pour sweetened condensed milk/whipping cream mixture back into the bowl with the heavy whipping cream and fold together until smooth and creamy. Don’t mix too vigorously or you’ll lose some of the fluffiness of the whipped cream.

Step 4: Add the Peaches
Now it’s time to gently fold in the peach pie filling. Pour the peaches into the cream mixture, then gently fold in to combine.

Step 5: Pour in Pan to Freeze
All you have to do now is pour the mixture into a pan or any freezer-safe container. Put a lid on the pan, but if you don’t have one, press plastic wrap directly on the surface of the ice cream and then cover the whole container with aluminum foil (to prevent ice crystals and freezer burn).
Freeze for 5-6 hours or overnight.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy
When it is time to serve, remove from freezer and let sit on the counter to soften for 5-10 minutes prior to serving.
If you’re very patient, you can freeze it long enough so that it sets quite firm and cut it into slices. We don’t ever seem to last that long though so it’s pretty soft and easy to scoop into small bowls.
