To make this Easy Creamy Tortellini Soup I only needed a few basic ingredients. And, if you are like me you most likely already have some of these ingredients on hand.

  • garlic cloves, minced
  • tomato paste
  • ground cumin

  • tortellini
  • fresh spinach
  • vegetable broth
  • crushed tomatoes
  • heavy cream

Substitutions

Milk: Out of heavy cream? Milk will work in its place in a pinch.

Broth: Don’t have vegetable broth? Chicken broth or even bullion would work instead.

How to Make Instant Pot Tortellini Soup

Making this easy tortellini soup recipe only requires four simple steps. Once you follow these steps you’ll have a warm and comforting bowl of creamy soup.

Step 1: Saute onions and garlic

Set Instant Pot to its saute setting and heat olive oil in inner pot. Add onion and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 2: Add in tomato paste and seasonings

Add tomato paste and toss for another 2-3 minutes. Add ground cumin and Italian spice and mix.

Step 3: Add in remaining ingredients

Turn off the saute function and add tortellini and fresh spinach. Follow by adding vegetable broth and crushed tomatoes.

Attach lid to the Instant Pot and set on high pressure for 10 minutes. Once time is up, release the pressure. Remove lid from the Instant Pot and stir in heavy cream. Serve in individual bowls and enjoy.
