The first thing that comes to mind when someone says “Halloween” to me is usually sugar. I picture all of the candy, cute desserts, and spooky treats. I’ve even been known to join in the fun on occasion (see my super simple Graveyard Cake for an example).

But having a healthy family is even more important to me so instead of trying to avoid Halloween (after all, the kids DO love all the festivity surrounding this holiday), I try to embrace it in ways that still allow my family to have fun with it that don’t involve sugar overload. That’s why I put together articles like Happy Healthy HalloweenEasy, Inexpensive Halloween Decor, and Easy DIY Halloween Costumes.
