I love making fun treats for holidays, as long as they’re easy. After all, I’d rather spend my time enjoying family and friends than slaving away on crafts, decorations, and food.

It’s far easier to get in the Christmas spirit when you don’t have to exhaust yourself in the process!

These Christmas strawberries can double as decorations and food so that’s an extra bonus in my book! And yes, as I mentioned, I opt for easy so I guarantee these aren’t difficult at all.

How to Make Christmas Strawberries

Despite how darling these Christmas Strawberries turn out, they are a cinch to make! You only need a few items and about 15 minutes to create an entire string of strawberry Christmas lights.

What You’ll Need

You don’t need much to make these strawberry Christmas lights, but there are a few items that are essential. Here’s what you’ll need:

containers and bowls of sugar crystals in various colors, green gumdrops, white chocolate melts, and strawberries on a kitchen counter

Step 1: Cover the Strawberries in Chocolate

Melt the white chocolate candy melts according to package directions.

Dip one strawberry into the chocolate and tap off the excess. I found it was easier to use a toothpick, rather than a fork.

Step 2: Color the Lights

Sprinkle them right away with colored sugar. Make sure to coat all sides evenly.

Once coated, lay on a parchment lined cookie sheet and repeat with the other strawberries. Let dry completely.

Step 3: Finish the Look

Spread a dot of white chocolate on the bottom of the gumdrops, then place each one on top of the strawberries. You may have to hold it for a few seconds to let it harden.

Repeat the process for all the strawberries and let them sit for several minutes to dry and set.
