I am a big fan of team sports and an advocate for teaching children to be team players. Unless you plan to be a hermit, you need to learn to get along with others. That being said, I also want my children to learn to be independent thinkers who form their own opinions rather than just going along with the crowd. I also want them to learn perseverance so that they are willing to work for things that are important to them and able to overcome obstacles.
8 Entrepreneurial Skills You Should Teach Your Kids
Someone recently pointed out to me that these traits I admire and want to instill in my children are the same traits that entrepreneurs possess. That person shared this infographic with me that outlines 8 entrepreneurial skills you should teach your kids.
Not every child is going to grow up to become an entrepreneur, but the skills outlined in this infographic are definitely skills all children should learn. Each of these skills will help our children be successful in ANY career they pursue.
Do you promote these skills in your child? If so, how do you do it. Are there important skills that aren’t listed? Please share your thoughts in the comments below.
