I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Folgers. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
If you follow me on Facebook, you know I often post memes about how much coffee means to me. I get up way before the rest of my family to make sure I can finish my coffee before any of them have to deal with me. A bold, flavorful hot cup of coffee is like a strong, comforting embrace to start your day off confident and content.
As far as what kind of coffee I enjoy, I’m an equal opportunity coffee lover. As I mentioned in my post on oatmeal variations, I’m pretty fickle so I hate to eat and drink the same thing every day. That’s why you’ll typically see my k-cup drawer filled with a variety of flavors. Unfortunately, most flavored coffee is mild roasted so though you get lots of the flavoring taste, you get very weak coffee. And since I find flavored creamers overly sweet, I have limited options.
Until now, that is. Folgers recently introduced Folgers Flavors Coffee Enhancers so you can add your favorite flavor(s) to your favorite roast. Now I can have a nice, strong cup of coffee flavored with hazelnut, caramel, mocha or vanilla. Even better, now I can make my own lattes at home without adding a bunch of high-calorie syrup to my coffee. Did I mention Folgers Flavors have zero calories?
With four kids to parent, I don’t have a lot of spare time or energy to be whipping up elaborate coffee drinks. So when I say that these lattes are EASY to make, I mean it. Also, you won’t need any special equipment to make them.
First, pour 1/2 cup of milk (I use skim) into a large mason jar.
Next, make sure the lid is secured tightly and shake the jar vigorously to froth the milk. It should only take a minute and when you are done, the milk should have doubled in size.
Now, microwave the milk on high for 45 seconds. If you ignored my instructions to use a large mason jar and instead used a small one, make sure to transfer to a larger container now because the milk expands in the microwave while cooking and you will have a huge mess to clean up if you used a small jar. See how full my large jar is when I opened the microwave?
Now it’s time to brew your coffee. If you have a Keurig, choose the medium size. For everyone else, that’s an 8 oz cup of coffee.
Time to make this delicious! Add your favorite Folgers Flavor. Today, I was in the mood for caramel. If you like a little sweetness in your latte, also add your sugar or sweetener now.
Stir well to mix and then pour in your frothy, hot milk. The froth might be stubborn and need to be spooned out of the jar. When you are done, it will look like this:
I keep a bottle of the hazelnut in my purse (Folgers Flavors don’t need to be refrigerated) so I can add flavor to coffee while I’m on the go. This has saved me so much money since I can order a plain black coffee and add the flavor myself!

Good choice! It’s my favorite. Though there’s really no bad choice. I love them all! 🙂 Good luck!
I’m not a coffee drinker, but I now my holiday guests would enjoy these skinny lattes. Thanks for the idea.
