Ingredients

For the Matcha Tea

  • 4 tablespoons hot water
  • 4 teaspoons matcha powder preferably ceremonial grade
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice for serving

For the Strawberry Cold Foam

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon strawberry powder**

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream and whole milk.
  • Beat for 4 to 5 minutes using a hand mixer or electric frother until soft peaks form.
  • Add the strawberry powder and vanilla extract.
  • Continue beating for 1 more minute, until fully combined and light and fluffy.
  • Spoon the cold foam on top of iced coffee, matcha, or other drinks. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Makes enough foam for 4 to 6 drinks.
  • For a sweeter version, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of maple syrup, honey, or simple syrup before whipping.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Re-whip lightly before using again.
  • Best served cold and freshly whipped for optimal texture.
