Hasselback Potatoes Air Fryer Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound baby golden potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  • Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt and debris from the skin.
  • Make perpendicular slices along the potatoes, cutting just 3/4 of the way deep into the vegetable.
  • Toss the potatoes in olive oil and place them in a single layer in the air fryer. Season the potatoes with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Cook at 400°F for 10 minutes. The slices in the potatoes will slightly open after the initial cooking time.
  • While the potatoes are cooking, melt the butter in the microwave.
  • After 10 minutes, brush the potatoes with a generous amount of melted butter.
  • Cook the potatoes for another 5-8 minutes. Once fully cooked, the potatoes should appear golden brown, crispy on the outside, and fork-tender.
  • Transfer the potatoes to a plate. Enjoy and serve as a bite-size appetizer or side dish.

Notes

  • Excess moisture on the potatoes’ skin can prevent crispiness, so don’t forget to pat them dry with paper towels after washing.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
  • Serve immediately once they’re done cooking to enjoy perfect Hasselback potatoes that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
