Equipment

  • Blender
  • Cocktail glasses

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Coconut Cream
  • 1 1/2 cups Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 cup Pineapple Juice
  • 1/4 cup White Sugar or more to taste
  • 2 cups Ice
  • 3 ounces Rum optional

Optional Pineapple Whipped Cream Topping:

  • 1/4 cup Pineapple Juice
  • 2/3 cup Heavy Whipping Cream 35%

Instructions

  • Add 1/4 cup of pineapple juice and the heavy whipping cream to a medium bowl and beat with a hand mixer until soft peaks form. This should take about 4-5 minutes. Set aside.
  • Add the coconut cream, coconut milk, pineapple juice, sugar and ice to a large blender.
  • Blend until the ice is crushed and ingredients are combined.
  • Pour into serving glasses and top with rum.
  • Top with a dollop of pineapple whipped cream if desired.

Notes

  • The whipped cream steps are optional. If you don't want to serve your pina coladas with the whipped cream you can skip these steps.
  • I prefer to use full-fat coconut milk for the best flavor, however you can use a lower fat version instead.
  • If you want to make a virgin pina colada just leave out the rum.
