- 1/3 cup Coconut Cream
- 1 1/2 cups Coconut Milk
- 1/2 cup Pineapple Juice
- 1/4 cup White Sugar or more to taste
- 2 cups Ice
- 3 ounces Rum optional
Optional Pineapple Whipped Cream Topping:
- 1/4 cup Pineapple Juice
- 2/3 cup Heavy Whipping Cream 35%
Add 1/4 cup of pineapple juice and the heavy whipping cream to a medium bowl and beat with a hand mixer until soft peaks form. This should take about 4-5 minutes. Set aside.
Add the coconut cream, coconut milk, pineapple juice, sugar and ice to a large blender.
Blend until the ice is crushed and ingredients are combined.
Pour into serving glasses and top with rum.
Top with a dollop of pineapple whipped cream if desired.
- The whipped cream steps are optional. If you don't want to serve your pina coladas with the whipped cream you can skip these steps.
- I prefer to use full-fat coconut milk for the best flavor, however you can use a lower fat version instead.
- If you want to make a virgin pina colada just leave out the rum.
