Ingredients

  • 4 cups ice
  • 2 tablespoons Matcha Green Tea Powder
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 3 - 6 drops purple food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 2 cups milk     or cream
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • Strawberry syrup
  • Dragon Fruit for garnish

Instructions

  • Start by getting two separate bowls for your ice. In each bowl, put 2 cups of ice each. I like separating them, so it will be easier for me when I start the process since I will be using them separately.
  • Then, get two separate cups for the milk. You will also be dividing your milk in half because it will be used in different procedures. Put 1 cup of milk in each cup.
  • In a mixing cup, add the first half portion of milk and 1 ½ tablespoon sugar. Stir it to dissolve the sugar lightly. Then, add in ½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste and matcha green tea powder. Stir again to make sure everything is well incorporated.
  • In a blender, add the matcha milk mixture that you made. Now, remember the ice that you divided earlier? Get the first half portion of it and add it into the blender. Cover your blender with its lid and set the blender at high speed. Make sure that everything is well combined. Set this mixture aside first by pouring it back into a mixing cup. You will need that blender again.
  • In a separate mixing cup, add the remaining ½ portion of milk and combine it with the remaining sugar. Stir to lightly dissolve the sugar, then add the remaining vanilla bean paste and purple food coloring. Aside from the berries, we will add later; the purple food coloring gives the drink its magical purple swirl. Stir again to incorporate everything well.
  • Get your blender again, and make sure you washed it off first so that the colors from the matcha mixture won’t blend in with the purple milk mixture. Add in your raspberries, purple milk mixture, and the remaining ½ ice portion. Blend in a high-speed setting until everything is smooth and well combined.
  • Get your glass and rim it with strawberry syrup for additional design. Then, alternately spoon portions of the matcha ice mixture you’ve set aside and the raspberry ice mixture into your glass in layers to bring out that dragon fantasy.
  • Get your dragon fruit and slice up some small pieces. Put some pieces on top of your frappe for garnishing.
