Ingredients

  • 1 container white or colored Frosting
  • 3 drops Food coloring if you don’t find the colored frosting or want other colors not available in the colored frosting!
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Using a stand mixer, or a bowl with a hand mixer, add the frosting to the mixing bowl.
  • Add one cup of powdered sugar and mix well.
  • Slowly add second cup of powdered sugar. You want the mixture to not be terribly sticky to the touch. It will be a bit sticky but shouldn’t be super sticky!
  • If you are using white frosting, add your food coloring. Start with 2-3 drops and add 1-2 drops until you get the color you want.
  • Scrape mixture out of bowl and onto your flat work surface that is dusted with powdered sugar.
  • Knead mixture until it is smooth and no longer sticks to your hands and fingers. You may need to add ½ cup or so of powdered sugar until it gets to this point.
  • Store your edible play doh in the fridge in an airtight container or baggie until ready for use. Allow to sit out for 10-15 minutes before the kids play with it as it will be a bit hard after being in the fridge!
