- 1 container white or colored Frosting
- 3 drops Food coloring if you don’t find the colored frosting or want other colors not available in the colored frosting!
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Using a stand mixer, or a bowl with a hand mixer, add the frosting to the mixing bowl.
Add one cup of powdered sugar and mix well.
Slowly add second cup of powdered sugar. You want the mixture to not be terribly sticky to the touch. It will be a bit sticky but shouldn’t be super sticky!
If you are using white frosting, add your food coloring. Start with 2-3 drops and add 1-2 drops until you get the color you want.
Scrape mixture out of bowl and onto your flat work surface that is dusted with powdered sugar.
Knead mixture until it is smooth and no longer sticks to your hands and fingers. You may need to add ½ cup or so of powdered sugar until it gets to this point.
Store your edible play doh in the fridge in an airtight container or baggie until ready for use. Allow to sit out for 10-15 minutes before the kids play with it as it will be a bit hard after being in the fridge!
