- 16 donut holes
- Light brown candy melts
- Various fall colored sprinkles
- Chopped nuts
- Pretzel sticks
Place the candy melts into a microwave safe bowl. Heat the candy on the defrost setting of the microwave for 1 minute at a time, stopping to stir after each round of cooking. Continue to cook in the microwave until the candy is completely melted and smooth.
Shape each donut hole into a rough acorn shape. You can do this by squeezing the sides in slightly, and flattening the top a bit.
Holding the pointed end of each donut hole, dip the top of it into the melted candy to create the cap of the acorn.
Add some fall colored sprinkles or chopped nut to the melted candy on each dipped donut hole, push half of a pretzel stick into the top to form the stem, and place them onto a parchment lined baking sheet to dry.
Place the dipped donut hole acorns into the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes to set, and then serve.
