Equipment

  • Blender
  • glasses
  • Small plate

Ingredients

  • 1 shot Tequila
  • 1/2 shot Triple Sec
  • ½ cup Coconut Cream canned
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • ½ cup Lime Juice
  • 2 cups ice
  • Sugar for rimming
  • Lime Slice for garnish

Instructions

  • Add the ice to a blender.
  • Juice the limes and pour the lime juice over the ice.
  • Stir together the coconut cream and sugar in a small bowl, until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Pour the coconut cream mixture, tequila, and triple sec over the ice.
  • Blend until the ice is crushed.
  • Rim the glass with a small amount of the margarita.
  • Then dip the rim into sugar.
  • Pour the margarita into your glass.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge before serving and enjoying.

Notes

  • I like to use a high powered blender like a Ninja or Vitamix to get the best crushed ice.
  • Instead of rimming the glass in sugar you could also rim it in salt, if you prefer a savory tang.
  • You can easily make the margarita a bit more refreshing by adding in some club soda or sparkling water.
  • I prefer to use the juice of fresh limes to get the juice for this recipe. Bottled would work also if you don't want to take the time to get fresh lime juice.
