Add ice to your blender.
Juice the limes and pour the juice over your ice.
Add the sweetener, tequila, and triple sec to your blender.
Add 2 or 3 slices of jalapeno to the ice (if you don't want your margarita to be really spicy, don't add the seeds). Blend until the ice is crushed.
Rim the glass by coating the edge with lime juice and then dipping into salt.
Pour the margarita mixture into the glass and serve.
- I recommend that you use a high powered blender like a Ninja for Vitamix if you want a smooth beverage with perfectly crushed ice.
- Instead of rimming your glass in salt, you could use sugar instead.
- For a beautiful garnish add some lime wedges or jalapeno slices to the rim of your glass.
- I highly recommend using fresh lime juice, but bottled juice will work in this cocktail also.
