Equipment

  • Blender
  • Cocktail glasses
  • juicer

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Add ice to your blender.
  • Juice the limes and pour the juice over your ice.
  • Add the sweetener, tequila, and triple sec to your blender.
  • Add 2 or 3 slices of jalapeno to the ice (if you don't want your margarita to be really spicy, don't add the seeds). Blend until the ice is crushed.
  • Rim the glass by coating the edge with lime juice and then dipping into salt.
  • Pour the margarita mixture into the glass and serve.

Notes

  • I recommend that you use a high powered blender like a Ninja for Vitamix if you want a smooth beverage with perfectly crushed ice.
  • Instead of rimming your glass in salt, you could use sugar instead.
  • For a beautiful garnish add some lime wedges or jalapeno slices to the rim of your glass.
  • I highly recommend using fresh lime juice, but bottled juice will work in this cocktail also.
