- 1 shot Tequila
- 1/2 shot Triple Sec
- 3 cups cotton candy
- 2-3 drops blue food coloring
- 2-3 drops cotton candy food flavoring oil
- 2 cups ice
Add ice, 2/3 of the cotton candy, food coloring, and flavoring oil to the blender.
Pour the triple sec and tequila into the blender.
Blend until the ice is crushed and ingredients are combined.
Pour the margarita into your glass.
Top the margarita with 1/3 of the cotton candy then serve. You could also wrap the cotton candy around cake pop sticks.
- For a stronger flavor, use less ice when blending.
- To give your margarita a bit of sparkle, top with some edible glitter or pink sugar sprinkles.
- I recommend using a high powered blender like a Ninja or Vitamix for the best results.
- You could also garnish the glass rims with sugar, salt, or even a lime wheel, if you prefer.
- This recipe makes one drink, however it's easy to triple or quadruple if you need to make a large pitcher.
- If you want a strong margarita, add some cotton candy vodka to this sweet treat.
- If you have a cotton candy machine, make your own cotton candy for a fresh taste. If you don't have a machine you can use the store bought kind just fine for this alcoholic beverage.
