Equipment

  • coffee mug
  • milk steamer

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Caramel Sauce
  • 1 cup Prepared Espresso
  • 2 teaspoons Caramel Syrup or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons Toffee Nut Syrup or to taste
  • 1/2 cup Milk

Instructions

  • Drizzle the caramel sauce into your chosen mug.
  • Pour in the prepared espresso.
  • Stir the caramel syrup and toffee nut syrup into the espresso.
  • Use a milk steamer to heat and froth the milk and add to the mug.
  • Drizzle with additional caramel sauce, if desired.

Notes

  • If you cannot find toffee nut syrup, toast 1/2 cup of pecans and then add to a saucepan with 1 cup of brown sugar and 1 cup of water over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, then reduce to medium-low and reduce liquid by half. Store the mixture in a cool spot in your kitchen.
  • Make sure you use a good quality espresso.
  • Don’t over steam your milk or it will become bitter.
  • The sweetness of the drink will depend on how much syrup you add, so adjust according to your preference.
  • If you love the butterscotch flavor, you can top this drink with butterscotch bits or even caramel bits.
  • Add more flavor by adding a small dash of vanilla extract to this sweet recipe from the wizarding world.
