Preheat the oven to 375F.
Grease a 9"x13" casserole dish and set it aside.
Beat together the melted butter and brown sugar until well-combined.
Beat in the milk, heavy whipping cream, eggs, cinnamon, and salt until well-combined.
Place your bread cubes in the baking dish.
Top the bread cubes with banana slices.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Then toss to coat the bread and banana slices.
Cover the casserole dish with tinfoil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the tinfoil and continue baking for 20-30 more minutes until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Allow bread pudding to cool slightly before preparing the optional vanilla glaze.
Whisk together all glaze ingredients and pour evenly over the banana bread pudding.
Allow glaze to set for at least an hour before cutting and serving.
