- 4 cups ice
- 4 tablespoon butterscotch sauce or melted butterscotch chips, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
- 2 cups milk or cream
- 3 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoon butterscotch sauce
- 2 tablespoon crushed toffee
First, combine 2 cups of milk, 3 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste, and 4 tablespoon butterscotch sauce in your mixing cup. Stir everything up and make sure everything is well combined. I used yellow sanding sugar or the “butterbeer sugar” as requested by my kids. There’s really not much difference, just a little fancier.
After stirring up your butterscotch milk mixture, add it into the blender along with 4 cups of ice. Put your blender in a high-speed setting to get an evenly blended mixture. Keep blending until you get your desired texture.
Get your glass, rim it with butterscotch sauce for a more wizardly effect, and slowly pour in your blended frappe. I like to lightly tap my glass on the table while pouring the frappe in just to maximize the space of the glass. Finish by topping it with toffee chunks or whatever toppings you desire for garnishing.
