Ingredients

  • 16 donut holes
  • Light brown candy melts
  • Various fall colored sprinkles
  • Chopped nuts
  • Pretzel sticks

Instructions

  • Place the candy melts into a microwave safe bowl. Heat the candy on the defrost setting of the microwave for 1 minute at a time, stopping to stir after each round of cooking. Continue to cook in the microwave until the candy is completely melted and smooth.
  • Shape each donut hole into a rough acorn shape. You can do this by squeezing the sides in slightly, and flattening the top a bit.
  • Holding the pointed end of each donut hole, dip the top of it into the melted candy to create the cap of the acorn.
  • Add some fall colored sprinkles or chopped nut to the melted candy on each dipped donut hole, push half of a pretzel stick into the top to form the stem, and place them onto a parchment lined baking sheet to dry.
  • Place the dipped donut hole acorns into the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes to set, and then serve.
