TakeLessons

As a military family, we move A LOT. Each time we move, we have to start all over trying to find a good dentist, pediatrician, hairstylist, and most difficult of all—piano teacher. While most people visit doctors, dentists, and hairstylists, not everyone signs their children up for music lessons. Thus, getting any recommendations, let alone a reliable one, can be difficult.

Anyone who has struggled with this problem, either due to a move or because of a new interest in one of the fine arts, knows how difficult it is to find a teacher or tutor. TakeLessons is a service that helps eliminate that frustration.

About The Company

TakeLessons connects students and families with private music teachers, arts instructors and academic tutors throughout the US. They have been in business since 2006, and have worked with over 30,000 students nationwide. Safety and quality are their priorities; every instructor completes an extensive interview, training, and an annual criminal background check. They assist with scheduling, initial coordination with the instructor, and billing – so all you have to worry about is enjoying your lessons! Your online student account also helps you stay organized with scheduling and billing tools.

  1. Learning to play the piano is hard work and takes dedication. Not only does each song mastered increase a child’s self-esteem, but showcasing their newly learned talents at piano recitals can boost their self esteem as much as winning a game in a sports competition.

  2. Too bad that I don’t have kids who loves music nor wants to play musical instrument, but if I hear of someone who do, I will refer this website to them.

  4. Now this sounds like a great site if you move around a lot or even if you live in an area where there are no tutors for something you want or need to learn. Sounds good for adults as well!!
