Disclosure: I did not receive payment in exchange for this post. It contains only my sincere and honest opinions based on my experience with YouPet. I DO receive a minor contribution from YouPet for new registrations that result from links on my site.
Since we’ve been married, my husband and I have always had pets. Usually dogs, an occasional cat, oftentimes simultaneously. We love our pets. They were our children before we had children and afterwards, they remained beloved members of our family. My family life has definitely been enriched thanks to these wonderful and devoted animals.
So, when I heard of YouPet, an online community for pet owners, I had to check it out. Before I lose some of you, I should point out that YouPet isn’t just for owners of traditional pets like cats and dogs. You can find information for your pet Siberian Salamander, Mexican Green Rattler, Amami Rabbit, Shrew-Faced Squirrel, or Pot Belly Pig. To be quite honest, I didn’t know it was legal to own some of these animals (e.g Mangabey Monkey).
Aside from gathering information from the site’s extensive animal encyclopedia, you can also find helpful advice on health, behavior and nutrition in YouPet’s online health center. Or, visit the forums and get insights from other pet owners.
And if you just want to goof around, YouPet has tons of games (all pet-related, of course) to keep you occupied. You can also visit the “Top Pets” section of the site which might leave you feeling a little socially inadequate. As you can see in the screen shot below, sweet little Eve has the most friends, a whopping 7,621 of them! Everyone on the Top 10 list is killing my facebook fan following. I don’t even want to talk about how many more profile views they’re getting.
As if that wasn’t enough, by simply signing up (for FREE) and uploading a photo of your pet, you are automatically entered into YouPet’s weekly $100.00 Dogswell/Petco sweepstakes. Yep, you read that right. You get rewarded just for joining a site (for FREE) that is chock full of useful information and tons of fun for pet lovers.
If you decide to sign up, feel free to friend my pup Bella or my kitty Lumen. We’d love to connect with you!
