A JORD Watch is Unique and Functional
As a mom, my style is functional and understated. Unless it’s date night, I don’t wear a lot of big, dangly, shiny jewelry in my day-to-day life. It tends to clash with my cooking, cleaning, carpooling lifestyle. That being said, even for every day, I like unique and interesting jewelry. If I’m going to accessorize, my accessories need to be adding something special to my look. That’s why I jumped at the opportunity to review a JORD watch when I saw it. These wood watches are not your standard wristwatch. Fancier than my plastic banded sports watch, but casual enough to wear everyday unlike my silver, diamond-studded (cubic zirconia crystals are basically the same as diamonds, right?) dress watch.
The watch arrives in a handsome gift box wrapped around a small pillow with extra links in case you need them. You shouldn’t since you can have the watch sized to your wrist before it is shipped to you. Also in the box is a Warranty Card–not some flimsy pamphlet that you’ll undoubtedly lose or throw away–but a plastic card (about the size and shape of a credit card) that you can keep safely in your wallet or business card holder.
It was wonderful to pull it right out of the box and wear it immediately since it was sized before it shipped. JORD has so many beautiful styles and colors to choose from, but I chose the cherry because I wear a lot of red tones.
I love the natural look of this watch. I knew that it was 100% hand-crafted natural wood, but if you have any doubts, you won’t when you see it in person. If you look closely, you can see the grains in the watch face. You can also see the veins in my hands since I don’t know how to photoshop but stop looking at those, you’re supposed to be admiring my beautiful new watch!
What Outfit Should You Wear With A JORD Watch
If you’re wondering what type of outfit this watch would go with, my answer would be–anything in your closet. Because the wood lends it a rustic quality, it accessorizes well with any casual or semi-formal look. Here’s what I wore to volunteer at school:
Yes, I know I’m ravishing in my jeans and knock-off Uggs. Really I’m just going for the mom-who-hasn’t-completely-thrown-in-the-towel look. So, pleasant surprise that day volunteering–I received multiple compliments on my watch! As you can see in the picture, it’s not garishly large but it does stand out because it’s unique. People were fascinated by the fact that it was made out of wood. Thank goodness the clasp is so easy to fasten and unfasten with one hand because I had to remove it several times for different people who wanted to look at it more closely (without my arm shoved in their face).
Different JORD Watch Options
Maybe the Ely Cherry watch isn’t YOUR style. JORD has so many different colors and styles to choose from, you won’t have trouble finding one that suits you. Here are just a few of your other options:
The watches are priced competitively relative to other watches I’ve owned, and perhaps better given the quality of the watch, clasp, and design. The very BEST thing about JORD watches though, has nothing to do with the watch. It has to do with their customer service. When you visit the JORD website, you are greeted immediately by a representative who just wants to let you know he or she is there to help if you have any questions. A REAL person, ready to help you if you need it. They don’t bug you after that but you can access them at any time while you’re on the site.
I know you’re super jealous of my stylin’ new watch. Don’t worry — You can head over here to buy your own OR you can enter to win one below! And remember, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are just a couple of months away. This is a beautiful, unique gift that would certainly make someone special very happy.
