In reply to Kathy. I'm glad the steak turned out tender, but I'm sorry you didn't like the flavor of the gravy. Maybe if you have a different gravy recipe that you like, next time you can add that to the Instant Pot with the cubed steak instead.

I was really excited to try this recipe. The cubed steak turned out nice and soft, BUT the gravy tasted super artificial. I wish a really good cook had shared their thoughts before I made it. I should’ve guessed that using stuff from cans and packets wouldn’t turn out great. I really wanted to like this, but it felt like the worst version of an “easy” American recipe where you just dump everything together and cook it.
