Hi Linda, thanks for your comment! I'm glad you liked the recipe. Sorry about the ads, but it's how I can afford to run the website. Alternately, I do have a membership option that removes all ads from my site (and enables me to stay afloat). You can learn more about it here: https://wondermomwannabe.com/wondermom-memberships/

I’m sorry to hear this Becki. I’ve made it many times and never had that problem and it’s one of my family’s favorite meals. Thank you for taking the time to comment and share your opinion. I wish I could pinpoint what might have gone wrong, but perhaps it’s simply a difference in taste - or the only thing I can think of, is did you leave the fat on the pork chops or did you trim it off?

I did this recipe exactly as you explained and it did not work as well as I had hoped. There was way too much liquid after baking, even after letting it sit and 'thicken' for a while. It wasn't even a sauce I could put over the individual servings. This was soup! I even looked through your writeup and watched the video (which really isn't helpful as it's only a minute long and doesn't show the end product), hoping you would say or show that it leaves a lot of liquid. Also, the pork chops weren't done. Even with adding an extra 10 minutes and having stirred it around to get some of the apples on top, it was still soupy. The taste was good but definitely too much butter and brown sugar for the sauce. You probably only need, like, half that and definitely use your own judgment on oven temperature and baking time because 350 for 45 minutes wasn't enough for me.

Glazes*

Consider with a can of crushed pineapple sprinkled with pecan crumbs.
...or even a quality applesauce with the same pecan therapy. ) Enjoy!!
