Workout Ideas To Maintain Your Health

Part of the endeavor to be the envy of other moms is the effort to maintain a healthy weight and to be fit enough to keep up with the kids.  Even if you are a stay-at-home mom who doesn’t have to report into work at a certain time each day, we all know that finding an hour to devote to physical fitness can be challenging, if not impossible, on a daily basis.

Workout Strategies

When it comes to working out, I’ve tried a lot of different strategies: working out during nap time, working out after the kids’ bedtime, early morning workouts, working out at the gym with the kids in the gym childcare, working out with other moms within a babysitting co-op, and even working out with my kids. 

Each of these strategies worked well for me at the times I tried them and for various reasons, my needs and wants would change and so would my workouts. 

I can’t tell anyone when or how they need to workout.  I can tell you that if you find a way to do it regularly, you will be a happier person.

My Favorite Workouts

I will post some of my favorite workouts here to help you find a way to work exercise into your daily life if it isn’t already or to shake up your routine if you’re growing bored with your workouts. 

Since I have tried almost everything, you should be able to find something you can use whether you workout at home or at the gym, alone or with a buddy, or like cardio or strength training. 

If you can find a workout buddy, I highly recommend it.  It makes exercise more fun and the accountability will help you stay consistent.
