Fitness is important to me. I am a happier person, a more productive person, and a better wife and mother when I am fit and healthy. Because exercise is important to me, I have several mechanisms in place to make sure I do it.
First, I rely on peer pressure. I am much better at sticking to my workouts when I have a friend who is counting on me to be there.
Second, I lay out workout clothes the night before so that I’m dressed to workout before I’m even fully awake.
Third, I post motivational pictures and quotes in the places I need them most—my bathroom mirror, the refrigerator door, on my cell phone.
I can’t help you find a workout partner or lay out your clothes for you, but I can share my favorite fitness motivation quotes with you. Hopefully one or more of these will help you on a day when you might otherwise skip your workout.
