I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for OshKosh B’Gosh. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

I love back to school shopping. Aside from my obsession with school supplies, starting each of my kids out with a rejuvenated wardrobe makes it more exciting for them and makes it easier for me to picture them having a successful school year. None of my children are especially brand-conscious (thank goodness!) but they do all like to look current and stylish. I want their clothes to last most of the school year (barring outrageous growth spurts) so that I don’t have to spend more time and money shopping once our schedules get hectic and our budget tighter thanks to sports, activities, and school. With active kids who love to run around and play outside, it’s hard to find clothes that meet both of our criteria. That’s why I shop for my younger two at OshKosh B’Gosh.

OshKosh B’Gosh Isn’t All Denim

When my kids were toddlers, the boys lived in OshKosh overalls. They were the only clothes I could find that held up to all the crawling, climbing, falling, and rolling around they did without tearing or wearing through in the knees. I’ve also been a longtime fan of their jeans for the same reason. But OshKosh B’Gosh isn’t all denim. Much to my daughter’s delight, they have a LOT more to offer!

Classic Jeans And A T-Shirt

The trick to back to school shopping is to find outfits that will transition from the warmer weather of early Fall into the cooler winter weather. We started with classic jeans and a simple t-shirt for my daughter. She loves to get dressed up, but most days she prefers to be casual and comfortable so this was an obvious first choice for her. When the weather gets cooler, she’ll throw on any one of her zip-up hoodies over the shirt to stay warm.

Legging/T-Shirt Combo

Still not wanting to sacrifice comfort, her next choice was this legging/t-shirt combo. The sparkles upped the cool factor of this outfit substantially in her eyes. And I’m not gonna lie, the “Reach for the Stars” slogan seemed like it conveyed a strong message of hard work and motivation so I was equally mesmerized.

Sparkly Hoodie

Too cute for one of her plain hoodies, she just HAD to have this new one which not only color coordinated, but also had more sparkles!

Cotton Pants And A Pretty Shirt

Still determined to be comfortable, her third choice consisted of a pair of soft cotton pants (that her older sister convinced her to cuff to be more stylish) paired with a simple, but beautiful shirt. Honestly, this looks a lot like how I dress everyday when I’m not in yoga pants and a tank top, though I know better than to try and pull off cuffed pants at my age. We didn’t make it to shoe shopping before this photo shoot so politely ignore the neon pink and blue shoes and imagine instead black canvas shoes or flats.

Black and White

Since she considered this her “fancy” outfit, she chose an even fancier layer to add to it for cooler weather. Yes, she took off her shoes for this picture. Apparently, she didn’t want to distract you from the adorable gray jacket with all the neon at her feet.

Slim Sizes

Even though my son declined the invitation to join us on our shopping trip, his older sister picked out a comfortable, everyday outfit for him. He really liked the shirt. It’s hard to tell from the picture, but it’s a sleek fabric so it’s lightweight and really smooth against his skin. Side note, another reason I love OshKosh B’Gosh is because I can actually find my son’s size there. As you can see, he’s pretty thin, so finding slim sizes for him is really hard! OshKosh B’Gosh has an abundance of slim sizes in all of their boys’ pants so I can always find his size there.

I had budgeted $100 for this particular outing. Thanks to this 25% off coupon, I was able to buy EVERYTHING pictured above in this post for under my budget.

Thrilled with my savings, I decided to use the unspent portion of my budget on a pair of jeans for the B’Gosh Jeanius campaign. OshKosh B’Gosh has partnered with K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers Inc. and DonorsChoose.org to provide students in need with things they need for school. You can donate a new pair of jeans or make a cash donation right there at the register. Donated jeans will be delivered to local children in need through K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers. Cash donations will be distributed to local DonorsChoose.org. Even better, the Carters Charitable foundation is matching all cash donations up to $50,000 and all denim donations with a new item of clothing!

I asked the cashier what sizes they sell the most of at our local store to get an idea of where the most need was. She said smaller sizes were always in demand so we purchased a pair of 4T girls jeans. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw this photo of my older daughter making the donation there.
